Been reading some of the Sandbox threads and … gods. What is that shit? I mean…

*thinks of new threads to add to the pile*

What is the one song in your life you only listen to once 10 years ago that made your Mommy yell down the basement steps to TURN IT THE FUCK DOWN!

List food that would kill you, no really REALLY kill you in a horrible way, and list your address at home and work. Photo and real name.. gets you added to my friends list.

I want you to suck up to me for a 10 rate and a friend and journal add. So get to sucking!

Who the fuck cares what this thread is call- come post nothing so we can level!! A to Z

Tell us the last time you took a dump?

O.o

Ok- time to get off the computer and go keep a book company till I fall asleep.

Not good company for anyone tonight.

The day Cancer made the posts in the Sandbox count was a sad one in my eyes .It pretty much determined that any thought out or researched posts that might contribute to the database where completely moot..I've tried to start several different threads in there that werent the same ol garbage, and I noticed others have too, but no one even looked twice at them.

Then I look at someone with post counts in the thousands, yet not once have ever seen a post from them that contributes in anyway...wow getting credit for telling everyone when you take a dump.Something to be proud of eh?

Nope, post counts dont mean a thing anymore.

I wish he would reconsider that whole thing.

You know- I went to work Friday just to do a estimate for a lady. Told her before I went that this Friday was the first day I could move here. She really wanted Thursday. I said maybe, but I could confirm and book Friday, which she did. If I could get to her on Thursday- we would be happy to.

So today we started the last of the Apartment moves- to find this morning that 2 of them had moved themselves. Ok- so I called the woman today before noon, say we would be there on Thursday like she wanted.... and what does she tell me? "Oh- I got another mover. He came out on Monday when they opened up and he is moving me on Thursday. Sorry."

(((**&UE#UO))#(*U= and I bet she did not even plan to tell me till that day.

*sigh* So we have one more day of work this week- making it a whole two days for the whole week.

Fuck it.. shake that Voodoo snow doll I say- LET IT SNOW!!

Who on VR would I be for a day? Joli. This woman has given so much of herself, her life to help others. She keeps the faith, which is so hard to do facing all the misery she encounters in her daily life. She shows me that people care, can make a difference, which in turn makes me want to help. She reminds me a single person’s actions can effect so many.

She has a wicked sense of humor, a deep well of feelings that she expresses with her words and poetry, touching so many of us who visit her journal.

On this site she was the first one to take a chance on me, asking me to become a Sentoran, leading me down the path I am on now.

VR would not be the same without her for me, nor would my life.

She is faith, a light in the darkness to guild you.

And for that- she is the one I would want to be for a day.

The Kohl's commercial down right pissed me off. Notice the bad shopping behaviors endorsed by a national company? Cutting people off to get into the store, stealing something out of another's cart and cutting the same person off in the checkout line? It's the reason people get trampled on Black Friday. That commercial was enough to convince this consumer to BOYCOTT Kohl's for the holiday season. I don't give a damn how good their deals are.

oooh sorry...totally left a rant in your journal. :p

Took Mom to the Dr. office this morning for her labs. I got offers of help 7 or 8 times before I ever got her home. I used the Dr. office wheelchair and had the doors held open, offer to help put her in the car. But I could just see my mother's face if I let a stranger anywhere near her. lol Besides, she is able to get in and out of the car, if you help put her feet in.

As we sat in the waiting room she tells me she is looking at the white tree outside. I looked, and see a white ford pickup. "You mean the truck Mom?" "No- the tree." I looked,,, "By the stop sign." "Oh.. you mean the oak tree?" Which has beige dead leaves but anyway.. "You know what kind of tree that is?" Mom ask, turning her face to me, those brown eyes so like my own. I almost started crying, coughing to cover it up and told her yes. "It is an Oak tree. It is the last tree to lose it leaves. They say when the last leaf falls- that is a sign spring is here." I had read that in a bird book, at some point.

My mom taught me about the trees, about plants. She taught me so much in life that she can't even remember now. Having telling her 5 times why we were there, what we was doing, it makes me sad. The strong lady whose mind had always been so sharp, who pushed me to read books, learn as much as I can. A big Readers Digest lover- my mother always loved to learn. I can't count how many Christmas trees I made out of that magazine as a child. If you don't understand that..never mind.

But now- she is unable to remember anything you tell her, what she is doing. Such a change from what she always had been in my life. :(

As we left we drove by a flower bed with a strange flower and she commented on how pretty it was. "That is a cabbage I think Mom, wasn't it? Really think it was." "Was it? You are so smart." she said with pride. I smiled and patted her hand beside me. "If I am it is only because of you Mom."

She picked up my hand and kissed it, smiled.

Thankful for this year- Having my Mom.

Three weeks with my grandparents, I dealt with their dementia and fighting with my grandfather about whether or not he had Alzheimer's. Talking of the past, seemed to calm them, as it was something that did remember still. So, I sat down with both of them, asking them to talk about their upbringing. I sat typing their words, as they spoke about the death of their parents, the depression, where they worked, how they met, etc. Although they couldn't remember my name that day (kept calling me Lynne, their daughter that they haven't seen in years), they remembered the joy of my birth.

I'm so sorry sis. I truly understand, the worst thing about dementia, is how it robs US of the knowledge that the person use to have. Make some memories, write down what they have told and taught you. Love them everyday as if its their last. *hugs*

Read a few journals this morning about greatwords, the religious dude who is known to spam. I was going to post this as a reply but… well….putting it here instead. Drama lama is not stopping at my Turkey Holiday table. ;)

So the members are saying that greatwords should not be suspended, and a few members are saying it is not right in the comments on the journals.

My reply-

Seems the history of this member is not being brought into bare- I remember the forum posting in the Sandbox that asked about items on the site the “Pissed you off” and this member was well documented as a spammer. Sending messages in private as well as posting on profiles. The members was up in arms- you have the right to say what you want, but you don’t need to send it in PM to me, or post it on my profile was the common complaint. Spam- the line was crossed.

Looking at the comments posted on the profile within the little time frame he was ‘up and running’ on the site before being suspended- you have ….

Really? Really you put that on my page? You really need to get a life. You can have your beliefs or whatever but don't shove them down my throat or your's will be ripped out.

You get a 1. I get it you like your religion and all, but a lot of people on this site don't appreciate having spam like this in their inboxes or on their walls of their profiles or in fact having someone elses religious beliefs shoved down their throats!

lol you just wrote your whole profile as a comment to my profile

(((((

As you can tell he has started the spam, and the members were already messaging the Admins.

There is a difference between making a profile, and journal about your beliefs VS spamming. If he would stop there, rate a few people, be active on the site other then to post his profile - he would be welcome. But he is here to spam, using the whole ‘spreading his word’ to cover up the spam.

I also remember a few posters here complaining about him the last time he was here….hmmm. Guess they got more forgiving now then before. God bless them for that.

I mean no offence, and if I go overboard with my comment please let me know, but just asking as a logic reply to your entry, ( and please note I am NOT attacking ANY religions or beleif here) why are pentagrams, and other religous symbols allowed to be posted in comments on profiles but christian ones not allowed? Is this the only religion not allowed?

Just to know. I am not christian (actually I am no religion for the moment, I have studied to many, and I did not see any that would fit my beleif so I am still seeking) but I respect others as long as they respect me, I understand the inbox spam, thats OH yeah! thats a : no no no. And ok a full profile on a stamp/comment box is to much, but I am mainly refering here into: discimination, and asking, why one religion is allowed, and why not another?

Hope your day goes well, I got to go now, there is a snow storm and I got to shovel the snow outside. Take care :)

Serenity...

It is one thing to use an image/graphic, but it is an entirely different to constantly send a message to people as he has. If he were to just rate me and leave it at that, I would be fine with it, but he has, on numerous accounts and times, sent the very same message with each new profile, sent it as a comment, and has even sent in as replies to a person's journal comment.

There is a line between being proud of what religion you worship and spamming people with things they do not want to be bothered with.

Rat, I hope I haven't overstepped any lines or boundaries with replying to that.

Serenity

yeah like I said: inbox is a no no no. But I saw many "attacking" in the journal and on the profile and thats where I think is wrong.

Because for the inbox: oh hell yeah I am with the TOS in full agreement: its a NO NO NO inbox spaming.

Never Ducky- you are always welcome on my journal, wet feet and all. :)

"But I saw many "attacking" in the journal and on the profile and thats where I think is wrong."

The same people who leave comments on his profile are the ones he keeps spamming, another point on the side of him doing it just to get a reaction.

As far as what the comments are that members leave in his journal and profile- that is what the block button is for. He can use the same steps every member (witch, vampire, wolf, alien, devil, demon) has to use. Nothing we can do about members comments- we can't control the members and would not want to anyway.

BUT=

Spam is spam. And it is against the rules.

The two Moonie avatars being rocked last night had me thinking of this today... a new game for VR.

Who on VR would you be for a day?

We pick a day and you change your avatar, with permission, to the person you would love to spend a day in the life of. Would want to be for a day. Of that one person who has changed your 'life' on the site. Would want to be more like, example they set in life.

After you pick the person, get permisson to use the photo, you write why that person in your journal.

What you think? Think it would fly? flop? stupid?

:) My mind thinks of these silly things.

Watching the cute puppy love in Otter's journal makes me think of my own puppy event of the week.

I went to the bank on Wednesday morning, hit the drive in. The lady gave me a small candy cane, and a small little chocolate Santa back with my bank bag. :)

So move up to Friday- I have the pup with me in the car as 'she' demanded the trip to town I had promised, per my sister's telling. "But I am just going to the bank, the window will be down she might hop out.." "You put the leash on her, hold it. Keep her from getting that close to the window." Fine...come on pup.

Off we go, taking the long way, her side window is down just enough to stick her head out, her claws on the door handle area. :) She loves a trip when it doesn't end at the vet or groomers, and she knew she was safe this time.

Pull into the bank, I got a hand on her leash, put the window down..."OH what a cute puppy!" Note she is not a puppy, but a small dog. "Look at her!" yeah yeah... she is cute. "What is the name?" "Sweet Pea. Come here Sweet Pea, let the nice lady look at you." Fat dog claws on my thigh, as she turns toward the window, giving her cute little head cock, getting the "Ohhh how sweet." She always gets.

"Not really. She might be called sweet but.." And the dog turns to me, licks me on the nose, right on cue. I wipe my wet nose off as the lady just goes on. "Can I get her a bone?" "Sure." Little bone comes back out with the bank bag... but nothing for me it seems. I take the bone, give it to the puppy, her big brown/golden eyes looking at me as she take it to her side of the car, on the floorboard to bury it for me to dig out later.

Not one candy cane, small chocolate Santa for me I notice. LOL Seems my brown eyes can't come close to her's. :D

When I write about something about VR in my journal- last the entry below this one- and come back to read it a few days later, I have to smile for two reasons.

One- can't believe I took the time to write it. You can tell I was sleepy and a little moody Friday from working all night or that would of rolled right off my back.

Second reason- the funny comments they get. lol Note to self- start stalking Meeper. :D

You guys rock! Reason I am happy to be a member is the cool folks on the site. :)

Spent yesterday with Cat and her family. Which I love. Truly truly love. I even went shopping with her sister in Lexington. I mean... as in holiday shopping. O.o I am hard pressed to go shopping, much less Holiday Time shopping.

But it was not bad, really. We went to several shops, spent 7 or 8 hours together chatting, talking like old times. No kids- just us. :) I think it was a break she needed.

Seem Christmas items/ decorations are half off in stores. Great time for her as she is doing a lot of Christmas wreaths up, enjoys the craft. But a clear sign of the times when they don't wait till after Christmas to put the decorations on sale. It is 50 to 70% off now and it is not even Thanksgiving yet. If that is not a sign how bad the stores think this season will be, don't know what is.

But I came home with only $8.00 spent for my brother some wood for his crafts, that was 30% off. And we did a very nice lunch, leftovers was dinner, together. Love that she was willing to try the Jack Cheese fondue with crab meat. MMmmmm that was the bomb. :) Cat would never of touched it, Birdy would of loved it tho.

Then a friend of ours came down from Louisville for a visit so I stayed and we watched movies, talked till after 11:00pm. :) Great day all in all. I never got to the Christmas Shop to take photos, hoping to do that Friday or Saturday if they are open.

Today is laundry, resting as it is cold and raining outside. And bed early as the first phase of the 16 apartments start on Monday- Wen. :) *cross fingers* Also got a long list of TV show to catch up on, some emails to return that I did not do Friday, and as I am writing this the rain is falling heavier on metal roof...*yawns* ... :D

Just a lazy day.

Been a long day and going to be a longer night. Started with shopping. Lots of shopping. Let’s see…as I am going to be out of town the days we are working moving the 16 apartments- it was a shop day. After a stop at the bank it was a trip to General Dollar Store, local owned grocery store, bakery shop, drug store to hit the buy one get one free vitamins sale, to another grocery store, gas station, and the last stop to the Tractor Supply for the only Christmas gifts I have to shop for- the puppy’s toys. She gets two… each of them makes a noise… *evil grin* Sis is going to hate me. Then back to the local grocery store to stock up on pop while it is on sale.

Felt like I shopped all day. But Thanksgiving dinner is in, meds are in, food is in, laundry and home stuff is in for a few months at least. Some for at least 6 months- toilet paper, vitimans, soda, can food. Hope that the winter will just be a trip to the local store that is within a mile, no big shopping days during the winter. *cross fingers* I really don't like shopping, even with others money.

Sis that lives out of town is to be here Monday or Tuesday for the week, and we have two friends coming over as we always do for Thanksgiving. Turkey is in the ref in the office, fresh 20 lbs. Way too much for the 8 people but the only other size they had was 10 lbs and that was just too small. I know- could of cooked two but…nah, left overs.

Now to bed as I have to be awake and do a courier run starting at 10:00 pm for a midnight pickup, to deliver by 2:30am, then a 4 hour trip home. So about the time the sun comes up- I will be in time to be at work at 8:00, after a shower. Yeah… hope to make this month electric bill. As it is I need to pay some on the stuff from today. The vitamins she gave me, the few items of food, and the Thanksgiving dinner- I need to pay my share.

*sigh*

Ok- bed for me.

I am not a big fan of the Twilight movies. Have watched them, but that is about it. So when I was doing the housework this weekend and found on HGTV a show dealing with a remodel based on the movie I let it play in the back ground.

From HGTV-

Designer David Bromstad Does a Makeover Inspired by the Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn

Designer David Bromstad goes Hollywood by making over the first floor of a house based on The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn. Inspired by the natural forest scenery in the movie, David mixes organic with a modern aesthetic with a custom log installation, a moss flocked mirror, a dramatic glass chandelier, and 35 faux animal heads. And one very special guest shows up to surprise the homeowners!

Now- all I can say is they ruined this place. He took slices of wood, and put them on the wall. Then they glues fake moss to a mirror, ruined a dining room table by painting it silver and white. As in half was silver, half was white. The white part they fabricated so it was blocks of wood painted white, while half the table was silver and had delicate molding and trim. He said it was represent the Vampire VS Werewolf.

It fucking sucked. I swear if I was a werewolf I would of just pissed on it. The room was white and these god ugly chairs that looked like wagons.... I still have that stupid ugly room in my head. And the black and white painted animal heads.. good lord, how bad can you make a room? Worst room I have ever seen. Those horns on the animals, all on one wall... would of been a great place to kill someone, throwing them up against it in a vampire way.

I know the owners, who where in there 50's, loved it but good lord if I would not of told them to get that shit out of my house when the cameras stop filming. I tried to find photos of this room, but couldn't so I could show you.

I wished Cat and her sister was here- we could of went OFF on this room together. lol

So what do you think of the protesters being booted out? The camps I think are too much. You can protest in shifts, go home to your own home, shower and sleep. Blocking parks from others using and the health issues... I don't blame the cities clearing the camps.

Protest does not mean making camps.

Of course that is the only way they are getting attention.

I remember a local bakery had a strike. For two years they stood outside of that business/ plant. Fires in 50 gallon oil drums, sitting in chairs in the rain, snow. Holding up signs. All the time the new workers walked right by, going to work. Nothing was gained by the strike.

If the camps go away- and they was to just picked, hold rallies, will they get anything for the effort?

But on the other hand the people who pay taxes have the right to use the parks, parks that rules are no camping. And the health issues, the trash, stink, human waste- parks are not set up for that. People in those towns have rights too.

How far does the right to free speech go?

Just something to think about as I watch the news.

You have the right to free speech, however you don't have the right to say "Kill Obama" for example.

You also don't have the right to create an environment where people are breaking the law, doing drugs, defecating in public etc. Many parks are actually operated by private companies and groups so they can limit who can stay. Public parks are for the public and when you keep others from coming or block streets, businesses, etc and cause damage like in Oakland then you've turned "free speech" into lawlessness.

I think kicking them out is fine. Of course rabid liberals think a single student wearing a cross at school is "illegal" but picketing businesses and homes, calling for the end to capitalism, doing drugs, ad nauseum is totally fine.

I just do not get what their mission is or more importantly how they plan on achieving it.

Freedom of speech and freedom of assembly is not the same thing. Portland just kicked out its protesters, as they had set up camps in public parks. Portland allowed them to stay there for a month, but when drug use, assaults, vandalism and burglary went up in the area, they shut it down.

Sorry. But Portland didn't say to stop your protesting, but move on, no camping, break it up, so we can clean it up. They moved them to another location, although state no tents or sleeping bags allowed. They said it will take over $50,000 to clean up after these protesters and to bring the park back to life. You can get your point across without raping the land and taking advantage of situations. Just my two cents.

4th call to the government Transportation Cabinet to find where my renewal is.

Lady- I see that the renewal went into effect for 2012.

Me- I see. Can you tell me when that happen?

Lady- September 19 or so.

Me- Yes- sounds right as the two checks went thru my bank account about then. I ask as after three calls I still don't have it in my hands.

Lady- Any other questions?

Me- Why yes- it is the same question. When am I getting the renewed certificate?

Lady- When we do a mass mailing of them

Me- *ready to bang my head on the desk* Let me ask this another way- I have to have that form to renewal my Household Certificated. And that is due by the end of the year.

Lady- We have nothing to do with Household renewals, just For Hire.

Me- I know that. I really really do. But do you understand I can’t get my Household without that form? And they are due on the last day of next month, before the New Year.”

Lady- Ok

Me- *silent cuss words* Can you at least give me an estimated date on when you are going to mail them out?

Lady- Let me ask. Please hold.

Me- *cussing on how stupid the government is, if it was a business it would of fucking closed down years ago. Hope more government lay offs are coming.*

Lady- Are you still there?

Me- Yes- ten minutes is wasted but do you have any answer for the question?

Lady- Yes.

Me- *waits as crickets crick*

Lady- The estimated mail date is the middle of December.

Me- In other words- there is no way I can get it in time to renew my Household certificated by the end of year, will have to run at least a week illegal as the State government takes two weeks off for the holidays.

Lady- Our department only handles For Hire certificates.

Me- Thank god. I would hate for you to handle something like the police or firemen.

Lady- Is that all you need?

Me- Yes. Thanks.

*hangs up*

Then I return from my estimate with a crazy doped up man in a few towns away, being paid to do this for a bigger company. Before I got back to the office he called to complain about me. So I had the great pleasure of talking to one of the wives of one of the sons who own and run Interstate Van Lines, who we have worked for many years.

She asked what time I was to be there. I was there at 9:24 am for our 9:30 to 10:00 am meeting. He was still in bed. What did you talk about? Nothing. I did the walk thru, took notes, made a list of all he showed me *both of what was being move and what was not being moved*. He talked hateful to his wife, telling her to shut the hell up when she tried to tell him to remember the patio items. So me and the lady started talking as she has been doing the job for 22 years, and seems the dude just did not understand I was there to just look, make notes, then the estimate starts when I get back to the office. I have nothing to do with the cost of the move, just telling them the weight, what is needed, any special items like the 4 fire proof safes he had in the basement. Marble tops, two riding mowers, 2 professional tool chest that are larger then most dressers.

She tells me he wanted a binding estimate which means the weight I gave is all they can charge on. She tells me she would trust me more then most, and the 8 page list that went room by room in the house, two garages was nothing she could find a flaw on. I did the standard cube sheet but also a list per room just to show them what was in each. As a loader I like knowing that myself.

I stepped off how many feet from road to front and basement door, in the rain. Directions done, note on the turn around to get a better angle for the front gate of the gated community. Lake side- half a million house easy … and he wants to bitch I did not ask him any questions and only was in the house 15 minutes. Dude- what did you expect me to do? Survey… that is all I do. They pay me to be the eyes, see what they are getting into. Nothing more. We ended up talking about how we still count off steps when we visit people, even how we look at big pieces in friends house and think how much of a pain it would be to move. LOL Once a mover, always a mover it seems. She said she had no idea what the guy problem was but would make the estimate, see if her company gets the job.

Now- I have that off my chest, going to fix my roast up, and enjoy a nice dinner/lunch. Enough with people pissing me off.

Just started the J.D. Robb series called In Death, a romance mystery series Cat introduced me to a few weeks ago. J.D. Robb is a pseudonym for Nora Roberts, whom I love to read. Love how this woman writes.

I can’t stand a book that is so long in details you get bogged down, like A. Rice is to me. Or the ones that don’t give enough details and you can never immerse yourself into the story.

Like if they write about a bed-

“The bed was covered in silk sheets.”

That kind of writing makes me wonder what color of sheets, what did they look like vs. the rest of the room? It just to much for me the reader to come up with.

While the over detailed one of…

“The bed was covered in white silk sheets of high quality. Not really white, nor ivory, but a shade between them. One of the many off white that are too numerous to pin point with a precise color shade…” *snore*

Nora Roberts would say it something like this…

“The bed was covered in white silk sheets, the kind of white you remembered snow being as a child.”

Can’t you just picture the sheets now? When I read these books I get lost, and that to me is what these kinds of books should be. And the mystery is so well written that half way into it I still don’t know who the killer/killers are. Since I am only on the second of thirty plus in the series- I see a great winter ahead.

And the couch for me the rest of the day, reading, lost in another world.

"Went to bed early, Ghost Hunters playing on the TV, as I started my library book on 3 Mile Island"

She stops what she is doing and looks up at me from her desk. "Why in the world are you reading about 3 Mile Island?"

"Because the library did not have any books about Chernobyl."

She just shakes her head and mumbles something about how odd I was.

:)

Hey- Chernobyl is a unique part of the world's history. The research, studies done by the effect of the radiation on plant and animal life is ongoing, and will be for many years still. And the effect of a busy busting town being left, to weather and rot away. The effect on the people who had to leave everything behind and start life again.

Really- what is not to love about the subject?

Ok- other then the deaths during the accident, and how they let the town people die as they did not take action fast enough.

But other then that- it is a fascinating subject. And since Japan accident, I have really been wanting to learn more about nuclear energy and how it works. And the fall out if it goes wrong, very wrong.

It is just a lot to learn. And this is the old system, god help us when we start on the new system. But then we tried to get onto the DP3 site today to only be booted. After getting on after 8 or 9 tries we read the site will be closed for 24 hours for updates on Wen afternoon.

Yes Sir.. so much easier then typing out, faxing or scanning the bills in.

But we are slowly making a dent in the bills. :)

The deal is she comes in around 10:00am and do three a day. She gets home around 2:30pm, which is about all Mom can be left alone.

At that pace we should be done with all the billing of the year by Thanksgiving, taking into account a few days off for Dr. visits for Mom, me out of the office on jobs. And I am all caught up with the taxes so... might be a calm winter for us. :)

Called Cat about a half hour past the time she was to be here.... and after a few minutes she goes "HOLY SHIT! I was to be there this morning, wasn't I?" lol

:)

She is never late by a few minutes so I knew she forgot it. No big deal and Sis and I got two more bills out as we waited for her.

She showed, with back-up AKA as her sister, and two and half hours later = the electrical certificated is downloaded and saved to a back up disk.

While I am happy she was able to fix it, with a call to tech support, is it bad of me to know she did not do it in a few seconds? lol Really- the steps being told to me to do was not that hard. I should of been able to figure it out. And the tech was American- I did not even have the "This is Lamdjihing. How may I help you?" to blame.

She had to wipe out the cert I had started, they resent a new one, then all kinds of resets on my system for it to go on ... and we have a cert on my laptop. :D

Thanks Cat, and sis. You saved our company yet again. I really did not know what to do other then hire someone to do it, and lord knows how much that could of cost me.

Still- owe you two dinner. :)

I really do think the tech you talked with didn't know his arse from a hole in the ground while the one I got was laid back and easy to work with even with the glitches that were thrown. We had fun and I'm happy to help anytime, just glad I could :)

Cat is coming over to the office today. After two hours on the phone with the tech support- sister and I could never get the ECT downloaded onto my laptop.

It is the program that lets my laptop talk to the DOD system- the $$ one. Seems my system doesn't take the program so they have to do a patch.... gosh- my laptop is over 3 years old and it seems it doesn't work with it.

O.o

WTF, right?

Bad when you have to ask someone else who knows computers way better to help, even with tech support.

But then it is the goverment- nothing is every easy.
